Here is the story behind the videos posted below.
In early November a friend of one of our team members expressed that she was experiencing activities in her home that she felt were paranormal and asked if we would conduct an investigation.
She also indicated that she would love to come to a team meeting and share her story with us. Accordingly, we invited her to our November meeting. While at the meeting we conducted an interview
so as to gather some information and allow her to ask questions of us.
We had also aquired a new wireless infrared camera that we intended to test out and configure. We have our meetings downstairs in our finished basement and I had placed the camera in the 2nd floor hallway pointing at the bedroom doorway.
We don't currently use that floor of the home so I was able to close all blinds and shutoff all the lights to test the camera in total darkness.
Keep in mind for later that our home has what is known as a "gravity furnace". There is no blower attached to it and heat gently circulates with no forced air distribution.
During the interview process she shared with us that she often "felt" the prescence of unseen entities. At the completion of the interview
she and two female team members had gone upstairs to the kitchen and the "ladies room" both of which are located on the 1st floor.
Just before leaving the kitchen to go down the hallway to see our "computer room", the friend stopped abruptly, and said that she sensed a female entity in the hall. As they ventured into the hall she turned and looked up the stairs toward the 2nd floor
and stated that she also sensed a "dominant male presence" at the top of the stairs. They finished up and returned to the basement with the rest of the team and the ladies shared the story of the events with us.
Here is the kicker.
We purchased this home in 2001. The home was built in 1951 by the previous owners who lived here and raised thier family. When we bought the home all was normal for the first 6 months or so.
Then one day we came home and the smell of fresh baked brownies filled the air. We were not baking brownies and puzzled at the aroma but gave it no real thought. At night after we would retire to bed we would
sometimes here noises from the upsatirs bedroom but that too was dismissed as nothing in particular. We would get up some mornings and find one of our computer monitors was turned on although we were certain we had turned it off before going to bed.
It was a month or two later while chatting with the neighbors that we discovered that mere months after selling us the house, the wife was diagnosed with very advanced cancer and succumbed to the disease very shortly afterwards.
We were also informed that the wife loved to bake and brownies were a family favorite. Hmmmmmmm
We started paying more attention and eventually surmised that we had an uninvited but friendly addition to the household.
We never told the person we were interviewing anything about the home or the spirit that we believe lives here with us.
To finish the story....
We allowed the camera to run all night and my wife Annie sat patiently through the first four hours of the video. The movie clips below were captured that evening. I am a HUGE skeptic of "orbs". I believe that somewhere in the realm of
98% of all the orb photos I have seen are probably either dust, environment, insects, or focal issues with the camera. Perhaps these are as well but in that it was november in Ohio, I don't have a blower
on my furnace, and there are no noteworthy drafts in the upstairs area, I felt these were interesting enough to post and share. You draw your own conclusions and by all means share your thoughts with us in our forums.
